The Land Rover Club, Tanzania is organising for the first time the Land Rover Festival which is scheduled to take place from 12 – 14th October 2024 in Arusha – Tanzania. The festival is organised in collaboration with the Office of Regional Commissioner of Arusha, Hon, Paul Makonda.
The Land Rover Festival – Arusha is organized to celebrate the iconic vehicle and its pioneering legacy in the tourism industry.
Festival activities
The Largest Land Rover Gathering & Convoy in Arusha.
Staged in and around Arusha CBD on Saturday the 12th of October 2024. This leg marks the start of the trip towards Arusha National Park with a stop-over at the famous BBQ (Nyama Choma) market Kwa-Morombo, for a group lunch.
ii. The Arusha National Park Adventure & Camping Trip as part of promoting local tourism in the country. This trip shall start immediately after group lunch at Kwa Morombo on Saturday with The Land Rover Convoy to Arusha National Park until Monday, October 14th on Nyerere Day.
Camping
There will be a Camping for those who enjoy camping at a nice place with a good environment to enjoy.
The proposed Campsite will be at the TGT Campsite
Participants will be able to test their Land Rover knowledge with experts and see how fast they can change a tyre or set up a tent.
Vehicle Displays Spare parts vendors
Showcasing a wide range of Land Rovers, from Series to the New De- fender models.
At the same venue, there will be various vendors from those doing business with spare parts, accessories, and other technical services at one stop.
Land Rover spare parts and Accessories cannot be missing from such an event as a selection of Land Rover items will be for sale such as caps, T-shirts, Land Rover crafts, camping gear, and 4×4 accessories for your Landy.
In addition, this will be also an opportunity for the Companies and tour operators to show and promote their business as the exhibition will be open to the public. Sellers of camping gear will be invited to participate and sell the gears.
Family Activities
A dedicated area with games, face painting, and activities for children of all ages. This could also include educational exhibits about the history of Land Rover and its role in Tanzania at the Campsite.
Food and Beverage Stalls
A variety of food vendors for bites and refreshments while at the camp site.
Plenty of drinks will quench the visitor’s thirst at the festival and the food available will astound with some of the most amazing catering ever to be seen in the bush. Caterers will provide a variety of good food such as Nyama Choma, home-made pies, lamb spit, BBQ chicken etc.
